Nahargarh Step Well - Photo by Surbhi B

Nahargarh step well was built In 1734, during the reign of Sawai Jai Singh (1698-1740). The extensive water systems is one of the most significant features of the Nahargarh fort. This step well is unique with no symmetrical design, but just cut out of the hillside to collect water from the catchment in the surrounding hills. Also as a bonus the view looking out over the entire city from the top is amazing. (Jaipur, Rajasthan, India)
