White Pocket - Photo by John Fowler

White Pocket is a stunning swirling, multicoloured formation of Navajo sandstone. Some formations at the White Pockets are delicate and could be damaged if subject to a large number of hikers, it is naturally restricted due to the difficulty of accessing this area - a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended. Also because of the delicate environment we ask everyone to leave White Pocket exactly as they find it - practice leave no trace shooting and exploring. There is a great description of the route here -- www.americansouthwest.net/arizona/vermilion_cliffs/white-pocket.html (Marble Canyon, Arizona, USA)
