Palouse Falls - Photo by Atanas Malamov

Created by the Ice Age floods from glacial Lake Missoula more than 13,000 years ago, Palouse Falls is one of few active waterfalls left along this massive glacial flood path. As the Palouse River runs through a narrow, winding gorge it suddenly drops 200 feet into a churning bowl, creating a thundering sound and dynamic shooting opportunities.
