Royal Ontario Museum

Sharp colours and sharp angles. We love this shot of an iconic Toronto landmark. The Royal Ontario Museum in known for its unique blend of architecture, modernist styling collides dramatically with the cathedral stone structures of this iconic Toronto landmark. Within its halls can be found seemingly endless corridors of photogenic museum displays, history and art. Known locally as the “ROM” this museum is a must for any visitor. (Toronto, Ontario)

The Bund

Night shots of city skylines with bright colourful skyscrapers are a real treat, and Terry gives us one heck of a treat! The Bund is a mile-long stretch of waterfront promenade along the Huangpu River. Along this stretch, on both sides of the river, stand 52 buildings of various architectural styles, including Gothic, baroque, and neoclassical styles. (Shanghai, China)

Hannover

We see a lot of long exposures to add a silky smooth look to waterfalls, but Julian is a genius and applies it to fields of wheat. We are definitely giving this a try this summer! The peaceful country roads throughout the Hannover Region provide many scenic/agricultural/rural shooting opportunities. The fields in this area create a lot of depth and during summer days dynamic skies make for some fun shooting. (Emmerke, Germany)

Petronas Twin Towers

Petronas Twin Towers are twin skyscrapers that were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remain the tallest twin towers in the world. These 88-story towers bear a modern design & a visitor skybridge with incredible views over the entire city.  We love this shot from Terry showing the towers and the beautiful gardens in front of them. (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock is an incredible natural rock formation that looks like an eagle. JP captures this epic shot with a helicopter adding extra interest to this fascinating photo spot.  It takes a 6 mile hike using the famous Pacific Crest Trail to reach the formation. It is a very calm and scenic route, there is no shade during the last couple of miles. (Warner Springs, California, United States)

Cotopaxi National Park

Serene Ecuador is on display in Henri’s fantastic imagery. The Cotopaxi National Park in Ecuador surrounds Cotopaxi volcano, one of the highest active volcanos in the world. The north end of the park has amazing areas for hiking with incredible views across the grasslands of the volcano, as a bonus it is also a good place for birdwatching. (Machachi, Ecuador)

Park Hyatt Dubai Hotel

Some beautiful pastels make this an amazing shot along the waterfront from Park Hyatt Dubai Hotel. The hotel has a stunning view down the beachfront and across the bay of the Dubai skyline. This view overlooking the beach may not be accessible to the general public, you might have to be a guest of the hotel. (Dubai – United Arab Emirates)
