Åkerslån, Sweden

A stunning sky with solar system leads the viewer deep into this fantastic coastal shot from Pietro. This is Åkerslån, a small rugged cove in the heart of Naturum Kullaberg with amazing views looking out over the bay. This quiet spot is the perfect place to shoot some dynamic sunset lighting and experiment with astrophotography. (Kullaberg, Sweden)

Naturschutzgebiet Oberharz

Julian adds some stunning dreamy touches to this serene shot of a Naturschutzgebiet Oberharz. This is a beautiful hiking area deep in the forests of the Hartz National Park. The trails are overflowing with scenic views, perfect for some nature and landscape photography. (Torfhaus, Germany)

Nisser Lake

Frode shares their own serene view of the retreating light in this lakeside shot. This lone tree sits perfectly on a scenic little island with a view looking out over Nisser Lake towards MT Hægefjell. Access to this island is from a caravan park named Sandvin Camping. (Nissedal, Norway)

Marina Promenade

The Marina Promenade is an amazing palm-lined waterfront walkway with incredible views of the surrounding bay and cityscape. Ig_mn captures the towering skyscrapers magnificently. This is the perfect spot to experiment with street and architectural photography, especially into the evening hours as the city’s lights come up. This area is also dotted with global cafes, food outlets and restaurants for after you have gotten your fill of shooting. (Dubai – United Arab Emirates)

St Ives Head

St Ives Head is a beautiful grassy headland surrounded by a rugged shoreline and beautiful ocean views and charlielisa does a fantastic job of capturing it with a lens ball. As a bonus this area is a stopping-off point for migratory birds, making it one of the best autumn sea bird watching sites in Europe. Rare and unusual species that have been sighted include Grey Phalarope, Black Tern, Sabine’s Gull, Balearic Shearwater, Arctic Skua, Great Skua and Yelkouan Skua. Resident birds include Manx Shearwater, Gannet, Razorbill, Guillemot and the occasional Puffin. The rocks are home to Rock Pipits, Wheatears live in the short grass and Buzzards and Kestrels can often be seen wheeling overhead. (Saint Ives, England)

Victoria Park

A soft sun sets over Belleville, Ontario in this beautiful shot from Dan Fleury. Victoria Park is a small scenic park set on an island in the heart of Belleville Harbour. The park has a great view both to the south looking out the bay and to the north over the city, featuring a great view of the city hall. (Belleville, Ontario, Canada)

Zeelandbrug

One more for the rode from the immensely talented Pietro. This is Zeeland Bridge (Zeelandbrug), the longest bridge in the Netherlands as it stretches out to span the Oosterschelde estuary. The bridge is especially photogenic from along the estuary’s scenic path that takes you right under the bridge – creating some dynamic shooting angles. (Zierikzee, Netherlands)
