Port de Sóller (Mallorca, Spain)

Matthew David Ernst, RCAF

Like peeking into a hidden world, forests frame the saucer-shaped harbour in this shot from Matt of Port de Sóller, Spain. Port de Sóller’s traditional charm remains firmly intact and has helped create a quaint feeling holiday destination. Surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains, Port de Soller is one of the few towns that can claim both magnificent mountain scenery and breathtaking sea views on the island. Being on the west coast, it also affords some of the best sunsets in Mallorca. (Port de Sóller, Spain)

Beautiful processing and wide-angle symmetry conspire to create a fantastic drone shot from JC Moving Images. Eggner’s Ferry Bridge is a through arch bridge that stretches out over Kentucky Lake. There is also a multi-use trail across the bridge so you can park on either side of the bridge and take the 1.5-mile path across for a unique hike and incredible views.  (Fenton, Kentucky, USA)

Jettegrytene (Treungen, Nissedal, Norway)

Frode closes us off this week with this beautiful shot of one of Jettegrytene’s waterfalls. Jettegrytene is a unique spot along a river where the riverbed has turned into interesting terrain of potholes and waterfalls. The road directly to the potholes has been closed but the area is still accessible by walking in from the parking area. (Treungen, Nissedal, Norway)
