Mountain Road Pond (Tamworth, Ontario, Canada)

Stunning colourful clouds create picture-perfect leading lines in this fantastic sunset shot from Dan Fleury. Just east of the little village of Tamworth, along Mountain Road sits a beautiful little pond that is a hidden gem shooting location. This peaceful spot is especially photogenic during sunset. Broken Boathouse (Nissedal Municipality, Norway)

A sombre mood is captured beautifully with surreal long-exposure and elegant processing in this fantastic photo from Frode Heiland. This old hut or boathouse sits just offshore out in the peaceful shallows of the lake slowly falling into disrepair and getting more photogenic is it does. (Nissedal Municipality, Norway)

Jumeirah Mosque (Dubai - United Arab Emirates)

Blue skies serve as a nice contrast against the warm beige and yellow of the Jumeirah Mosque in Dubai in this lovely shot from ig_mn. Jumeirah Mosque was built in traditional Fatimid style which originated from Syria and Egypt. Opened in 1979, the Jumeirah Mosque visit has been a key activity under the ‘Open Doors. Open Minds’ program. The Jumeirah Grand Mosque was a gift from the Late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the former Ruler of Dubai and father of the current Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Auronzo di Cadore Viewpoint  (Auronzo di Cadore, Province of Belluno, Italy)

Matthew David Ernst, RCAF

A longtime friend of the PIXEO team, Matt Ernst shares a shot of an iconic location this week. Needless to say, we’re jealous. This view looking out over the imposing Tre Cime di Lavaredo mountain range from the neighbouring ridge line is breathtaking. There are numerous photogenic view points along the ridge over looking both the mountain range and the surrounding valley. (Auronzo di Cadore, Province of Belluno, Italy)

Neist Point Lighthouse  (Waterstein, Isle of Skye, Scotland)

Mike McHugh

We close out this week from a new submitter, Mike McHugh. Here he captures the Neist Point Lighthouse on the Isle of Skye beautifully. As if the Isle of Skye wasn’t beautiful enough (check out our feature of the Fairy Glen here), this stunner is situated on the North West of the Isle of Skye surrounded by rugged cliffs that provide amazing viewpoints over both the lighthouse and the ocean. Winds on the high Cliffs can be a problem, so be mindful of your own safety & others with you (or dogs) and have something to weigh down the tripod! (Waterstein, Isle of Skye, Scotland)
