Piping Plover Nesting Area - Photo by Nikki Davison

Piping Plovers are listed as an endangered species in Canada, Wasaga’s beachfront which provides excellent habitat for them to nest. There is an active nesting area at the far end of Beach 1 that is roped off to prevent people from getting too close to the nests. This area is an ideal location for bird photography if you have a keen eye and patience.

Brockville Railway Tunnel is Canada’s first railway tunnel, with construction beginning in 1854. It’s no longer part of a function rail line so visitors can now walk the length of the tunnel. It features an LED coloured light system, which is programmed in various ways, along with a recorded music track playing while one walks through.

Spion Kop is a short steep hike with an incredible pay-off. At the summit, you will see Kalamalka Lake to the north along with Okanagan Lake, Duck Lake and Wood Lake to the south.  (Lake Country, BC)

Wattamolla Beach is part of a stunning cove and lagoon that has views looking out over the Tasman Sea.  There is also a beautiful waterfall flowing into the lagoon (part of the Royal National Park, New South Wales, Australia).

The amazing view looking out over the ocean hammocks from the beach within the luxury resort of The Residence Hotel, in east Bintan, an Indonesian Island right in front of Singapore. Both the perfect shooting subject and ideal spot to spend an afternoon relaxing.

Another shot of the stunning waterfalls within a couple of hours drive of Ottawa. The area features walking paths, the Coulogne waterfalls, and all sorts of outdoor adventure activities.
