HSBC Rain Vortex - Photo by GonzaloRuizCalavera

The Jewel is a multi-use complex designed to connect three of Changi Airport’s four terminals. The star attraction is the 40-meter-tall (around 130 feet) HSBC Rain Vortex, which cascades through a huge oculus in the middle of Jewel and is billed as the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.

Chouara Tannery - Photo by Michel Bricteux

Chouara Tannery was first built in the 11th century, and it is the largest tannery in the city.  The tanning industry has been continually operating in the same fashion as it did in the early centuries. Today, the tanning industry in the city is considered one of the main tourist attractions. The tanneries are packed with the round stone vessels filled with dye or white liquids for softening the hides.

The sun is finally out in Ottawa! We’re going out shooting. We’ve got a line on a couple of ghost towns in the area that it is high time we check out. As well a little road trip around Ontario is planned for this week, so hopefully, that leads to some photo opportunities.

On the development front, we’ve crossed 650 locations on the web map, nearing 16,000 in the app, and we’ve got a new update being put together that will put your submission front and centre in the app.

Two days left to vote in the PIXEO Photo Challenge and we’ve already got pics we’ll be adding to the May Challenge, so keep them coming. Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone and until next time, keep shooting!
