PIXEO Photo Challenge Update

  • It’s been a very busy week of voting on the website for the best photo locations. We’ve been blown away by the interest in the contest. The voting ends tomorrow, so be sure to get on and vote. You can vote multiple times (once per hour) so if you’re in the running be sure to share with your friends!
  • We’ll combine these votes with the photos performance on social media to determine the winner and announce it later this week!

Voting opens 1st April 2019

Introducing....The Map!

  • We’ve been banging away for some time trying to bring some of the PIXEO App to the desktop to share your images with the world using an interactive website map, and we’ve finally done it. Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue populating it with select images from the PIXEO Collection. As always, photos added to the map are all credited and will link directly back to the photographers.
  • The Map will have a much smaller sampling of the over 15,000+ photo locations in the app, but will give an idea of what PIXEO is about to the website visitor.
  • As well it is another way for us to give our users more exposure. We hope you like it.

Hoggs Falls - Photo by Robbie Arlow

Hoggs Falls is tucked away a short walk from the Lower Valley Road. Named for William Hogg, the waters of the Boyne River tumble seven metres in this woodland setting. These falls are beautiful and peaceful to shoot in the summer but also accessible in the winter too, although snowshoes are recommended.

🏢 Meanwhile at PIXEO HQ 🏢

Well, it was a very busy week at PIXEO HQ (a.k.a. our kitchen). Obviously completing development of the website photo location map was a big win for us. Now begins the painstaking process of populating it, but that’s no major issue, just a bit of work on our end.

As well, we spent the week working on the PIXEO Photo Challenge and combining your votes with social media performance metrics. We were very happy to see the level of participation in the contest and you are all awesome. We may change a few things next time, but it’s a great start. Thanks to all of you for your participation and we are very excited to see how all this develops.

Until next time, just keep shooting!
