Abandoned Card Saw Mill
This abandoned old sawmill in Parham used to be the Card's Sawmill. The mill ran successfully into the 1930s when someone dynamited an upriver dam and halted production. The dam, which diverted the river's water into the sluiceway for the mill, was destroyed with dynamite by unknown persons. The owner Harry Card decided not to repair the dam and abandoned it. To this day, no one knows who laid the dynamite that led the Card Mill to be abandoned. (Parham, Ontario, Canada)
