Adelaide Oval sits tucked away along the curves of the River Torrens, wrapped in parkland between the city centre and North Adelaide. Its white sail roofs catch your eye immediately as they float above the trees from almost every approach. The riverbank slowly winds around the building providing numerous peaceful spots for you to set up your gear. Across the river in Elder Park the curved southern end of the stadium often mirrors crisply in slow moving the River Torrens. The ideal time to aim for is dusk. Once the lights come on the water goes glassy and it's the perfect time to experiment with the reflections. For a higher angle, you can head up to the overlook on Montefiore Hill. The bronze William Light statue gives you a strong foreground, and beyond it the white roofs sit against the soft line of the Adelaide Hills. If you want a unique shooting experience the RoofClimb takes you onto the curved roof itself for a view into the stadium and across the city. While the parklands and riverbank are open and free to wander, the roof climb and accessing the interior will need a pre-booked ticket. (North Adelaide, South Australia, Australia)
