Anderson Cove is a small, sheltered inlet tucked into the southeast corner of Sooke Basin. This calm, pocket of water is ringed by tall cedars and dotted with a variety of boats. The cove itself is more peaceful than dramatic, so it suits still, reflective mornings. The moored small boats, the mirror of trees on the water, and the eagles, herons, and hawks all work together to make the basin quite photogenic. If you are here on a summer or autumn night, the cove is also one of the spots where the water can glow with bioluminescent plankton. Access is easy from the small parking area and the boat launch off East Sooke Road. It is free to use this part of the regional park, but the beach at the cove is more of a rocky bank than actual beach. (East Sooke, British Columbia, Canada)
