Anglin's Fishing Pier

Even though Anglin's Fishing Pier in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is currently closed to the public, it still serves as a photography gem along Florida’s Atlantic coast. The structure extends out over the water and can be photographed from the beach, where its repeating supports and weathered appearance make for compelling compositions. Early morning light is ideal, especially for capturing the pier silhouetted against the rising sun or using long exposures to smooth out the ocean surface. Though access to the top is no longer possible, the area around the pier is open and easily reached on foot, with nearby parking and amenities along Commercial Boulevard.
