Arco della Vittoria
Arco della Vittoria, also known as the Victory Arch, stands as a commanding neoclassical monument in Genoa's Piazza della Vittoria. Built to commemorate the Genoese soldiers who died in World War I, the arch features detailed bas-reliefs and sculptures that offer rich material for close-up architectural shots. Framed by palm trees and surrounding gardens, it also provides an excellent vantage point for capturing the urban layout of Genoa with the Apennine foothills in the background. Best photographed in soft morning or evening light, the site is easily reached on foot from Genoa’s city center or main train station, making it a convenient and rewarding stop for photographers exploring the city.
