Asylum Lighthouse
Asylum Lighthouse is located on a small island just a few feet away from the mainland in Asylum Bay on Lake Winnebago. This lighthouse marks the separation between North and South Asylum Bays. The lighthouse was built in 1937 but the Dept of Transportation rejected it as a navigational aid so it was never lit. It remains on the island unused to this day.
