The Atomium is one of Brussels’ most recognizable landmarks. Built for the 1958 World Expo, it was designed to resemble an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. The structure consists of nine connected stainless steel spheres linked by tubes. Its reflective surfaces and futuristic design make it a strong subject for architectural and abstract photography, especially when framed against dramatic skies. Visitors can also access several spheres for interior exhibits and panoramic city views from the top. The site is easily reached by public transport and is best photographed in early morning, late afternoon, or at night when it is illuminated. (Brussels, Belgium)
