Entrance to the small harbour from Conception Bay in the north Atlantic. Taken from the end of the dock in Bauline (Avalon Peninsula, NL, Canada). Typical of the rugged coastline throughout the province. The early 1800's saw the first permanent settlement in Bauline Cove. An original picturesque little town with a haphazard pattern of clustering of homes where houses were traditionally located as close as possible to the water.
