About Big Four Bridge
Spanning the Ohio River, the Big Four Bridge is a six-span trestle that has been converted for pedestrian use. Originally built in 1895 as a rail bridge it served this purpose until it was decommissioned in 1968. It sat derelict until 2014 when it was restored and converted. It is named for the four major railway companies that used to use it. At night it is illuminated and makes a great photographic subject. (Louisville, Kentucky, USA)
