Bjärehovs Brygga is a long wooden pier on the Öresund shore at Bjärred. This narrow jetty runs straight out over shallow, usually calm water, giving you a clean leading line that pulls the eye all the way to the horizon. This stretch of coast faces west across the strait toward Denmark, so it is the perfect spot to play with sunset photography. At certain times of the year you will be able to set up your shot straight down the boards with the sun dropping into the water at the end of it. Plus the still surface here is great for reflections or a long exposure if you want to smooth everything out. Wide angles play up the length, while a longer lens pulls the horizon and the sky into a peaceful view. Stay for blue hour when the soft colour lingers over the water. The pier is a members' boat club with boats moored through the warmer months, so be considerate around the berths/boats, but the public path along Strandpromenaden gives you easy access to the shoreline and plenty of angles to work with. There is no fee to walk the shore and shoot from there. This area is an easy, rewarding stop if you are chasing a calm Öresund sunset. (Bjärred, Skåne, Sweden)
