Boscombe Promenade
Boscombe Promenade is a classic British seaside strip made striking by its long row of brightly painted beach huts, which stretch along the seafront and give you strong colour, rhythm, and geometry to work with. Shooting from a low angle along the huts creates a satisfying leading line that draws the eye down the promenade, while getting close to individual huts lets you play with bold colour contrasts and peeling textures. Overcast days are surprisingly good here, as flat light keeps colours saturated without harsh shadows between the huts. Early morning is ideal if you want the promenade mostly to yourself, and golden hour adds warmth that makes the painted wood glow. A wide angle lens works well for the full row composition, while a short telephoto lets you compress the perspective and stack the colours tightly. Parking and access are straightforward along the seafront road. (Boscombe, Dorset, England)
