Bow Tower
The Bow is Calgary's tallest skyscraper, a striking curved glass tower with a distinctive exoskeleton of diagonal steel crossbracing that makes it one of the most photogenic office buildings in Canada. The semicircular facade catches and reflects light beautifully throughout the day, giving you strong geometric lines and a sense of scale that rewards wide-angle shooting. Position yourself across Stephen Avenue or Centre Street to capture the full curve of the building against the sky; a 24-35mm lens works well for showing the entire structure with surrounding context, while a longer focal length lets you isolate the crossbracing details. Blue hour and overcast days are ideal, when the glass glows evenly without harsh glare. The base plaza offers tight architectural abstracts looking straight up, and surrounding low-rise buildings provide useful foreground contrast. Street-level access is easy and open to the public year-round. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)
