Byers Lake, located in Denali State Park, is a serene glacial lake surrounded by dense boreal forests and the rugged peaks of the Alaska Range. On calm days, the lake’s still waters create stunning reflections of the surrounding mountains, including views of Denali on clear days. Photographers will find excellent opportunities for landscape and wildlife shots, with frequent sightings of moose, bears, bald eagles, and loons. A scenic 5-mile loop trail around the lake offers multiple vantage points, while canoe and kayak rentals allow for unique water-level perspectives. The best times for photography are early morning and late evening when the light is soft and the lake is most reflective. Easily accessible from the Parks Highway, Byers Lake is a must-visit destination for capturing Alaska’s wild and pristine beauty. (Denali State Park, Alaska, USA)
