Calle San Francisco, nicknamed "Mushroom Street," is a pedestrian shopping lane in Torrevieja transformed by a whimsical installation of oversized mushroom sculptures replacing traditional trees along the median. The giant mushrooms create a surreal, fairy-tale canopy that rewards wide-angle shooting, especially when you position yourself low and look down the length of the street to use the repeating forms as a leading line. A 24mm to 35mm lens works well for capturing the full scene, while a longer focal length lets you isolate individual mushrooms against the storefronts. Overcast days are ideal since the soft, diffused light eliminates harsh shadows and brings out the warm reds and earthy tones of the sculptures. Early morning gives you the street without crowds, making it much easier to compose clean shots. The street is fully pedestrianized and easy to walk end to end in minutes.
