About Cape Saunders View
The scenic view looking out over the beach and cliffs of Cape Saunders from the trail at the end of Kaimata Road. Captain James Cook first sighted the Cape in February 1770, and gave it a title in honour of Sir Charles Saunders, under whom Cook had served in Canada.
