Cascade du Cirque de Saint-Même
Cascade du Cirque de Saint-Même is a series of waterfalls set within a natural limestone amphitheatre in the Chartreuse Mountains near Saint-Pierre-d'Entremont. The water flows down from high cliffs through several drops, surrounded by steep rock walls and dense forest, creating a cool and shaded environment. The area is part of a protected nature site with well marked trails that lead to different viewpoints, including spots at the base of the falls and higher lookouts. This gives you a lot of flexibility, whether you want wide shots showing the full cliff and waterfall or closer views of the water moving through rock and greenery. It works especially well after rain when the flow is stronger, and softer light helps keep the scene balanced under the tree cover. The walk in is short and straightforward, making it an easy place to spend time exploring different angles. (Saint-Pierre-d'Entremont, France)
