Cetatea Râșnov (Râșnov Fortress) is a historic monument built between 1211 and 1225. The fortress was built as part of a defence system for the Transylvanian villages exposed to outside invasions. The fortress sits high on the hilltop providing sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. (Râșnov, Romania)
