About Christopher S. Bond Bridge
Christopher S. Bond Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge carrying the I-29/35 over the Missouri River. A single concrete tower tapers to a point with 40 cables fanning down to the deck. The easiest ground level views come from Berkley Riverfront Park just upriver from the bridge. The park's riverside path gives you an amazing view of the tower and its cables as they spread out across the deck with the wide river as the perfect leading line. The Riverfront Heritage Trail passes right under the bridge letting you shoot up the cables as they climb to the top of the tower. After dark as the floodlights come on they highlight the path of every cable. The Berkley Riverfront Park has lots of parking and it's easy to follow the trail along the river.
