Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Beach is one of Florida's most photogenic stretches of coastline, known for its powdery white sand, vivid turquoise water, and wide open skies that make for clean, colorful compositions. The southern end near the pier offers a stone breakwater where you can position yourself low to capture waves crashing against the rocks with the horizon beyond. Pier 60 itself works well as a leading line drawing the eye out over the Gulf, especially with a wide angle lens in the 16 to 24mm range. Sunset is the prime window here, as the sky lights up directly over the water to the west, giving you rich oranges and pinks reflecting across the wet sand. Arrive 30 minutes before golden hour to scout your position, as the beach fills with crowds at dusk. The beach is flat and fully accessible with parking nearby.
