Cloughoughter Castle

Cloughoughter Castle is a beautiful ruined castle sitting on a small island just offshore in Lough Oughter. Access to Cloughoughter Castle is rather difficult, due to its geographical location. Unless you own a boat, you will only be able to admire the architecture from the shore! Magnificent, even from afar, the castle has a dark charm, with its walls covered with ivy. Don’t try to cross the river on foot to reach it: the depths are very deep on the periphery of the island! As a bonus this is the perfect location to experiment with drone photography.
