Cotopaxi Park North Entrance
The Cotopaxi National Park in Ecuador with an area of 33 393 ha, surrounds Cotopaxi volcano, one of the highest active volcano in the world, reaching a height of 5,897 m (19,347 ft). This is a very nice area for walking and a good place for birdwatching. It is possible to see several species peculiar to the páramo and those large areas of páramo (moorland) landscape surrounding the volcano are a perfect place for photography. (Machachi, Ecuador)
