Creel
Creel is a small town located in the state of Chihuahua, known for being a perfect scenario for nature photography due to its location in the Sierra Madre Occidental, this small town is also perfect for architecture photography, you can arrive by car or by the passenger train called el Chepe. Just beyond the town, photographers can explore iconic spots like the Valley of the Monks (Valle de los Monjes), where towering rock formations rise dramatically from the earth, and Lake Arareco, a serene body of water reflecting the surrounding pine-clad hills—both perfect for landscape shots, especially during sunrise and sunset when the light adds depth and warmth to the rugged scenery. The nearby Cusárare Waterfall, with its cascading waters framed by dense forests, offers excellent long-exposure opportunities. Creel’s high-altitude location provides clear skies for stunning astrophotography, with minimal light pollution revealing dazzling views of the Milky Way.
