Cupco Church
Cupco Church is a small white clapboard church dating back to 1889 near Yanush in rural southeastern Oklahoma. It was originally built by Methodist missionaries for the Choctaw people and is one of the oldest continuously functioning churches in this part of the state. The building is simple and photogenic. White siding, a front gable with a bell tower on top, and a covered porch at the entrance create the perfect rural life composition. The combination of the bright white church against the trees, the open sky, and the rolling Oklahoma hills behind it gives you a clean, quiet frame. This is still an active church with a small congregation, so plan your photography outing to avoid shooting during services. (Tuskahoma, Oklahoma, USA)
