Delamar, nicknamed The Widowmaker, is a former mining town that now sits abandoned. During its heyday, between 1895 and 1900, it produced $13.5 million in gold. The area is littered with the remnants of town's stone buildings. Mining foundations can easily be seen in the adjacent hills. There are two graveyards and the area is honeycombed with mines and mine shafts, although the main shaft has been blasted closed for safety reasons. (Delamar, Nevada)
