Dinosaur Provincial Park is an incredible gem filled with striking badland rock formations, and an abundance of dinosaur fossils.75 million years ago the sub-tropical climate was home to lush forests and great rivers that flowed east toward a warm inland sea. Today, rain and run-off from prairie creeks remove one centimetre of earth from the Badlands every year, continuously exposing new fossils. 150 full dinosaur skeletons have been unearthed and more than 50 species have been discovered in the park.
