Dondra Lighthouse is an imposing brick lighthouse that sits on the the southernmost point in Sri Lanka and is Sri Lanka's tallest lighthouse, and also one of the tallest in South East Asia.Originally built by the British in 1889 the lighthouse is uniquely octagonal in shape and painted in white, standing 54m high in a carefully tended garden.
