Duga was a Soviet over-the-horizon radar system used as part of the Soviet missile defence early-warning radar network. The system operated from July 1976 to December 1989. The radar system is massive, standing roughly 150m high. It is located within the Chernobyl exclusion zone - You must be with a legal tour company or have government issued entrance papers if traveling alone. (Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine)
