Eikelandsfossen is a compact but striking waterfall that flows directly beneath a historic railway bridge, creating a natural frame that stacks water, stone, and industrial structure into a single composition. The combination of cascading water and the arching bridge above it is what makes this spot so rewarding. Position yourself low near the water's edge to shoot upward and capture both the falls and the bridge in the same frame, or step back slightly to include the surrounding forest for context. A wide angle lens in the 16 to 24mm range works well here. The site is tucked away and relatively sheltered, making it a good choice on overcast days when soft, diffused light reduces harsh shadows and brings out the greens of the moss and foliage. A tripod and neutral density filter will help you achieve silky water motion in the falls. The location is accessible on foot with a short walk from a small parking area nearby.
