Fallbachwasserfall
Fallbachwasserfall is a multi-tiered cascade tucked into a forested gorge near Blumenstein, where the falls drop dramatically over mossy rock faces surrounded by dense greenery. You have a few good compositions to work with: a wide shot from the base captures the full height of the falls with the rocky channel leading your eye upward, while moving closer lets you isolate individual tiers for tighter, more intimate frames. Overcast days are ideal here since the soft, diffused light eliminates harsh shadows in the gorge and makes the greens pop without blowing out the white water. A tripod is essential for long exposures that smooth the flow into silk, and a 24-70mm gives you flexibility to switch between wide establishing shots and compressed mid-range compositions. The trail from the village is straightforward and short, so you can carry a full kit without trouble. Spring and early summer bring the strongest water flow.
