Faro del Caballo is a unique lighthouse tucked into a cliff face that began to point the way for navigators in 1863, but has not been in operation since 1993. Although it was completely abandoned for two decades, it is now a busiest viewpoint. In 2013 the 763 stairs were rebuilt to turn this place into one of the most beautiful tourist attractions of the town and one of the best hiking routes in Cantabria. The effort will be worth it, since one of the things that makes Faro del Caballo unique is its surroundings. Between steep cliffs and crystal clear waters, we discover one of the best corners of the national territory. (Santoña, Cantabria, Spain)
