Field of Hope
The Prayers From Maria Foundation first planted the Sunflower field in 2014 to gracefully draw attention to the lack of funding for childhood cancer. The field was inspired by the memory and spirit of Maria McNamara, planted as a way to love and honor courageous children battling cancer and those that have been lost. The field usually blooms sometime in August. Once in bloom, the field is open from sunup to sundown. . There is no fee to visit the fields, but they do accept donations to help the foundation bring more targeted, life-saving treatments to children battling deadly brain tumors www.prayersfrommaria.org (Sandusky, Ohio, USA)
