About Fox Theatre
The Fox Theatre in Detroit features a stunning neon frontage. Opening in 1928 the theatre was a flagship of the Fox chain of movie theatres that were popular at the time. It operated continuously until the 1980s when a major renovation was undertaken. Today it is a performing arts space that features performances throughout the year, from music to opera and more. The exterior sign is fantastic to photograph at night with its ornate retro neon signage. The interior is also extremely photogenic with ornate wall carvings and paintings. (Detroit, Michigan, USA)
