Frederick Ketter Warehouse

The former Frederick Ketter Warehouse is a narrow brick building on West Vine Street in Milwaukee, a block west of Martin Luther King Jr Drive. It was originally built in the 1890s to hold groceries, later a horseradish factory took it over in the 1930s and then has been home to a variety of businesses over the years. The brick is pale and has gone grey with age, and window frames and doors are all painted deep red. A round brick arch sits over the main entrance with a lantern on either side. It sits perfectly to shoot straight and highlight the symmetry of its design. The grey brick and red paint both appear richer on a cloudy day rather than in the hard sun. It's currently home to private business, so make sure to shoot from either the sidewalk or road.
