About Fukusai-ji
Fukusai-ji is a unique Buddhist temple in the shape of a turtle with an 18-metre high aluminium alloy statue of Kannon, the Bodhisattva of compassion. The interior is famous for the 25-metre Foucault Pendulum which swings over the remains of 16,500 Japanese killed during World War II. (Nagasaki, Japan)
