About Great Mosque of Samarra
Great Mosque of Samarra is a mosque from the 9th century CE that is part of the Samarra Archaeological City UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was, for a time, the largest mosque in the world - especially with its incredible minaret, the Malwiya Tower, spiralling 52 m high and 33 m wide complete with a spiral ramp. (Samarra, Iraq)
