About Hahei Beach
Hahei Beach is a photogenic beach fringed with pohutukawa trees and drifts of pink shells at the northern end. The coastline to the north and the offshore islands form the boundaries of a marine reserve, making this a popular destination for diving, snorkelling and kayaking. Reefs, caves, archways and soft sediments provide the ideal habitat for a variety of plants, fish, molluscs and crustaceans. (Hahei, New Zealand)
