Heilandskirche (Church of the Redeemer) in Sacrow lies quietly and dreamily on the lakeside shore. Built in the Italianate style with a separate bell tower and located directly on Jungfernsee, the little church has a Mediterranean charm that makes it extra photogenic. The church is designed to look like a ship at anchor, and is inspired by early Christian religious buildings. It has a shallow roof and gives the impression of a three-aisled basilica. The building is made of yellow brick, decorated with blue tiles. An arcade runs along the sides of the church facing the lake and offers wonderful views across the water. (Potsdam, Germany)
