High Bluff Overlook

A fifteen minute driving detour off HWY 101 will take you to this sweeping view of rugged Californian coastlines, fog banks, crashing waves, and dramatic sunsets. The High Bluff Overlook is one of the most scenic overlooks in the park. Eagles and peregrine falcons are often seen riding the air currents along these bluffs. In the autumn and spring, you will see gray whales passing by. Radar Station B-71 bunker is about a mile north along the road from High Bluff Overlook. A short trail descends to this structure and an informative sign explains its significance. (Redwood National Park, California, USA)
