Hudičev Turn, or “Devil’s Tower,” is a historic cylindrical stone tower located near the Soteska Castle. Standing alone in open farmland by the Krka River, the tower creates a striking and somewhat isolated subject against wide skies and surrounding fields. Its weathered stone walls and simple form make it well suited for minimalist compositions, especially when framed with leading lines from nearby paths or the riverbank. The flat landscape allows for clean angles from all sides, and soft morning or evening light enhances the texture of the masonry. The site is visible from the nearby road and is easily reached on foot from the surrounding area. (Soteska, Straža pri Novem mestu, Slovenia)
