Ischigualasto Provincial Park, also called Valle de la Luna, is in northwest Argentina. Its moonlike desert landscapes contain striking rock formations in areas like the “Painted Valley” and the “Bowling Field.” Dinosaur fossils from the Triassic Period are displayed in the park's museum. Trails run up Cerro Morado, a mountain with views over the valley. Guanacos, a llama-like animal, are common in the park. -from Wikipedia
